Job Description:

The Travel Nurse RN – Medical Surgical is responsible for managing the care of adult patients who are hospitalized with complex medical conditions or recovering from surgery. In this role, you will adapt quickly to a fast-paced hospital setting in Atlanta, providing high-quality, compassionate clinical care. Travel nursing offers a dynamic work environment where you can apply your professional skills, collaborate with diverse healthcare teams, and ensure an excellent standard of patient health and recovery.

Job Responsibility:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate daily patient care plans accurately.
Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and targeted treatments safely according to hospital protocols.
Monitor patient vital signs and clinical conditions closely, reporting changes promptly.
Care for pre- and post-operative patients, managing wound dressings and surgical recovery sites.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Clean and sterilize essential medical equipment and maintain a hygienic patient environment.
Ensure strict compliance with medical safety, infection control, and sanitation procedures.
Document thorough and precise patient reports using internal Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.

Job Requirements:

Highly motivated self-starter with a compassionate and positive attitude.
Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia or a valid compact license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred.
Ability to work effectively as part of a fast-moving clinical team.
Strong physical stamina, including the ability to stand for long shifts and assist with patient transfers.
Flexibility to manage demanding 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Commitment to providing exceptional healthcare service to a diverse patient population.
